Points to Remember:
• You can start by learning the chords (first lesson), then go to the solo (chord melody), for a little more challenge. If you get both of those down, try singing it while playing the chords, then add the chord melody solo in the middle.
• Stevie Wonder originally did the song in E. I changed the key to G, which makes it easier for me to sing and also works nicely for the chord-melody (solo) version.
• The song has a triplet feel (1-2-3, 1-2-3...).
• The "voice leading" (the way the notes in one chord move to those of the next chord), is nice in this song. It features a series of beautiful jazz chords. Jazz chords often contain notes from the farther extensions like 9, 11 and 13.
• Stevie wrote the song about his newborn baby daughter, Aisha.
